3. FRIDAY, SEPT. 20, LOCATION TBD, CLIMATE STRIKE
The youth movement is taking to the streets once again for the Climate Strikes on September 20.
We’re pulling up a chair to the table and making our voices heard. With federal inaction at an all-time high, we’re here to make our leaders listen.Sixteen-year-old Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg is sailing across the Atlantic Ocean on a boat powered by solar panels and underwater turbines to make her voice heard and strike.
And she’s not the only one – young activists who’ve been leading the way on this in communities across the US are readying to lead strikes from coast to coast and everywhere in between.
Even if you’re not a young person, you can show solidarity and join Greta and youth across the nation. We need adults like you to strike and support the youth movement, while being mindful of the importance of empowering youth leadership and making space for their voices to be heard. We look forward to seeing you there.
